This is a step by step tutorial for Rooting Froyo based LG P500:

PREREQUISITES:

  • Backup all applications to SD Card using ASTRO File Manager
  • Minimum 70% charge on phone
  • Device drivers installed (for transfer of files between PC & Tab via USB cable)
  • Back up all contacts to SD Card
  • Disable Anti virus and other security apps

There are many ways for Rooting Lg p500 but Here I use a Simple Gingerbreak app to root instantly

STEPS TO ROOT LG P500

Download Gingerbreak
Move the apk file to your SD card.(its in .zip format, rename it as .apk)
Enable USB Debugging by going to Settings>Applications>Development and make sure USB Debugging is enabled.
Install Gingerbreak.
Run the Gingerbreak application.

Tap on Root device

Your phone must reboot on success. and will have a superuser Icon added to your app list.. which allows apps which requests root permission.

SuperUser

If it doesn't reboot, reboot it manually and check if the Superuser app is installed.

If this doesn't work... okay now you can tell me your problems!
